Alrighty then... so maybe I need to work on my "surprised" face a little...I kinda of look dazed in a "just got out of bed" kinda way. Oh well, I guess it makes it more interesting. I hope.
By the by, I actually did not just get out of bed. ♥
The mum and I drove all over town today running the various errands that us farm girls' think necessary.
Our first stop was picking up 2 dozen duck eggs from some friends, since my ducks are on strike right now. *Shakes fist* The duckies must not know I'm allergic to chicken eggs. Oh well. They have to lay sometime! I mean, have you ever heard of a duck that was on strike for the rest of its life?
Then we went to pick up the case of cauliflower that was not there. Yeesh... There was a mix up in the order, and we were put down for a case of broccoli instead. Seeing that we have a whole freezer full of packaged broccoli (really) we didn't bring it home. But we got to see some pretty views on our way, like this pine tree covered hill. *LOVE*
Then we picked up beef! Not just any beef. But beautiful, delicious grass fed, organic ground beef. Yummo. I *love* that too. I did mention it was REALLY good, right?
When we finally reached the home front, we were stuck. The guys who are fixing our road put a pile of chert (red gravell-y stuff) right in the middle of the road. So...we had to wait about 10 minutes to cross the creek. But I did enjoy watching the caterpillar machine pack it all down and scrape it to flat perfection.
Just another day on the farm,
~~Lizzy♥
